A Designer with a Passion for all Things Glass

Shortly after earning my Associate degree in Commercial Art, I packed a pair of flip flops, shorts and a swim suit, left my home state of Utah and headed for South Florida.  I spent the next 30 years churning out layout designs and illustrations, constantly learning and adapting as the industry changed from desktop to digital.  Feeling a growing desire to hit the refresh button, I kind of stumbled into a stained glass shop, took a class and well... I was hooked from the first cut. While learning the art of stained glass, I reached a level of skill that allowed me to work and teach in the same studio. I continued to learn and grow in this capacity, until I felt it was time to pursue my own business venture.  Fast forward to the present, the transition from the advertising industry into the colorful world of glass has formed a happy merger of both mediums. It was a journey I felt destined to take and glad to have experienced.
Today my work has progressed into a blend of traditional and contemporary stained glass and mosaics. My designs generally reflect a floral and aquatic themes, occasionally mingled with a little bit of conservation awareness and education through visuals aids. Inspired by the aquatic life and colorful fauna in and around south Florida, my work is a reflection of who I am and what I love to do. Some of my work may include a tasteful blend of copper wire, beading or other organic materials. It’s these details that give my work a personal touch... my signature of choice.
