A Designer with a Passion for all Things Glass

     With a degree in Commercial Art, I began my career as a production and layout artist gradually building a diverse portfolio in graphic design and illustration, culminating as an Art Director. Having spent over 30 years in the advertising industry, I also acquired a proficiency with Adobe creative programs, as desktop publishing became the industry standard. During my tenure as Art Director, I felt a growing desire to return to a more hands-on creative outlet. I took a class in stained glass and, well... I found my calling. Although I didn’t exactly quit my day job, I continued to study and perfect my skills in the glass studio, eventually working myself into a teaching position as well.
     Fast forward to the present, this combination of creative and technical skills have not only given me a broader perspective, but allowed me to approach my glass designs with wider range of application. A happy merger of both mediums and a journey I felt destined to take.

    Today my portfolio hosts a variety of traditional and contemporary glass designs. Influenced by the abundance of natural beauty here in south Florida, the majority of my work has a tropical and aquatic theme with a touch of the whimsical. I also like to integrate a mixed use of glass beads, copper wire and other natural materials. It’s these added elements that give my work a personal touch... my signature of choice.
